Vision Of Partnership

NAF has a long association in working with community-based organizations and community people combined with women and disadvantaged groups in self-help and small-scale participatory development activities. NAF implements its programs in coordination with district line agencies, including CBOs, NGOs, and CFUGs to bring the intended and tangible change in the quality life of people, particularly in the project areas. The vision of partnership with various organizations is to enlist cooperation, collaboration and commitment from group members and concerned agencies as a peer and active partners to facilitate planning, decision-making, implementation and monitoring of ongoing activities. In this context, NAF stands as a catalyst for development.

PARTNERSHIP

NAF has established the network with several organizations such as Tamakoshi Sewa Samiti (TSS) in Ramechhap district, Samaj Sewa Samuha (SSS) Kavrepalanchwok District and Dhusa Bikash Samaj in Dhading district in the past to develop capacities to the promotion of agroforestry activities in their own communities on a self-supporting basis. These NGOs are originated from the grassroots farmers-groups and created to fulfill the community’s needs and aspirations. NAF continues to provide technical support to these organizations as and when needed basis. Currently, NAF has a partnership with local level organization and groups in working districts. The main partners are Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and CFUGs and groups. NAF views group formation and mobilization as an instrumental and institutional process that complements the existing village-level social organizations. Groups are basically formed to address the problems associated with women and resource poorer households, depletion of natural resources and the fodder trees & grasses needs. NAF always welcome both national and international organizations for collaborative works both in action research and public policy. Preferences are given more on the field of rural development issues together with contemporary policy debates.
